Leader - Indeco Soft
Indeco Soft is an important developer and implementer of eGovernment, eBusiness and Content Management solutions in Romania.
With perseverance and dedication, Indeco Soft has become the partner of more than 1000 public institutions including county councils, city halls, national agencies, cities, municipalities and other budget units, while more than 100 private companies have opted for our eBusiness solution.
The experience of over 20 years in the management of complex projects for the integrated management of business processes in governmental and private institutions is the guarantee of the added value, quality and performance increase that Indeco Soft products and services bring to operational and managerial activities.
Indeco Soft's projects are interconnected and aim to provide high added value to public sector clients by integrating innovation, research and data science and aiming at the digital transformation of cities and supporting their sustainability-based efforts to become smart cities.
As part of the implementation strategy of the project GREENTOP - Gamification of cRowdcomputing to Enhance Earth Observation Data Processing (funded by the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument), the project GREENTOP - Agro-Biodiversity aims to use artificial intelligence algorithms to improve the use of Earth observation data for monitoring agriculture and biodiversity. Designed for urban management, efficient agriculture and biodiversity protection, the product uses free and commercial images to support territorial development strategies at European and local level. The project provides a best value for money service for authorities and organizations involved in agriculture, urban management and the protection of natural sites through the identification and classification of species, land use and compliance with applicable regulations.
Within the GREENTOP - Agro-Biodiversity project, Indeco Soft provides project management and carries out industrial research activities in the targeted fields (agriculture, biodiversity, software algorithms), development of automatic data processing components, as well as experimental development activities of a rapid prototyping platform for visualization and rapid processing of satellite data to facilitate industrial research processes and validation of research results. At the same time, the project will pursue process and organizational innovation for the application of new methods of delivery of satellite data processing and provisioning services.
Partner 1 - University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca
The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca’s research strategy is elaborated based on the Rector's management plan for the 2020-2024 period and closely follows the objectives of the national strategy for research, development and innovation while considering the provisions of the European Research Strategy.
The scientific research activity of USAMV Cluj-Napoca covers the three components of the research-development-innovation activity:
(1) fundamental and applied research,
(2) experimental development (products, services, innovative technologies) and
(3) innovation (the transfer in the socio-economic environment of services, products, innovative technologies).
Within the GREENTOP - Agro-Biodiversity project, USAMV Cluj-Napoca will provide know-how and research activities to identify the main characteristics of vegetation species, evolution periods, pigment levels, the normal (average) degree of evolution of each species , to constitute a database with information necessary for the identification of algorithms for differentiating between species. The experts will use the prototyping platform developed by Indeco Soft to correlate the evolutionary differences of various species and the information that can be calculated through computer algorithms based on satellite data. The starting point is the existing color bands and algorithms, combined with field research.
Partner 2 - Technical University of Cluj-Napoca
The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, an "Advanced Research and Education University" as awarded with the Order of the Ministry of National Education no. 5262/September 5th, 2011, is today a tertiary education institution having both tradition and national and international recognition. The University aims at engaging itself in producing outstanding scientific results and approaching interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary subjects. Furthermore, it strives to integrate the research results in the exchange of national and international values, to increase its national and international visibility, and also attract and create highly skilled human resources.
Within the GREENTOP - Agro-Biodiversity project, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca carries out research aimed at identifying the rate of development of the main targeted species, measuring the values of specific indices (humidity, vegetation, carotene/chlorophyll, green color, red color, infrared), identification of differentiators in different periods of the year, development of algorithms for automatic processing of satellite data and automatic identification, validation of algorithms through measurements and field visits.
